Design and detailed
analysis of optical systems.
The following major software tools are currently in use:
ASAP:
coherent and incoherent beam propagation / ray tracing,
optical analysis on complex geometries possible,
focus on stray light and coherent analysis.
ZEMAX:
sequential and non-sequential ray tracing,
optimization, CAD import.
SOLEXIS 2000:
BRDF data base,
766 materials, 981 BRDF, 169 BTDF curves / data sets,
contains additional information such as TIS, R, T in different wavelength ranges.
Matlab:
matrix-oriented computer algebra and data processing software,
provides access to a wide area of algorithms through toolboxes,
the ASAP kernel is used within Matlab to combine the programming environment of Matlab with the optical modelling and ray-tracing capabilities of ASAP.
